Short Version
I’ve made my way from underneath my rock, and I’m working on a sweet collection of customized notepads featuring pets. I plan to have totally set up shop by September 1st!

Long Version
Summer break has come and left me once again. And now, it’s time to get down to business. At the simple thought of any one of my students, I’m almost immediately engaged in problem-solving. All day, I anxiously convey information in ways that make it easier for students to digest. It’s so awesome, and I thank God for my job.
But it sure drains me.
So, when I finally walk through the door at home, after being first greeted by Bella (🐶) and my precious Pastor Auntie – and sometimes, even by my elusive Computery cousin – I usually drop. I decompress. I get out of ESE-mode, and go into me-mode….a state which changes from time to time.
The world, however, has either not gotten the notice, or it totally doesn’t care about my needs. Accordingly, it’s spewing out horrible things, like global warming, and wars, and inflation. Just living in today’s global society is a traumatic experience. And this brief life requires time for dcompression if any of us are to remain healthy.
Thankfully, God has blessed me with methods of productive decompression that decrease stress, promote love and kindness, and glorify God.
One of these is writing. I’m thankful for a command of language that suits my thoughts, for the most part. My main current limitations are bouts of crippling fear of my ability, and failure to actively increase my vocabulary…which I’m working on.
Another method for decompression is the production of artistic items sculpted out of reality by my very own creativity.
And, wouldn’t you know, this has given rise to a sweet series of notepads containing visual versions of my imaginings. Pooches of numerous breeds Will soon share space with the handwritten ramblings, notes, and doodles of people across the globe!
The satisfaction of accomplishing a goal is most certainly another method of relief and relaxation. Knowing that I’ve designed, crafted, and sent something that will make someone smile – my heart is beating with anticipation.
